Well hey, good morning Faithbase. I was working out this morning and I was thinking about the armor of God and I wanted to share that with you because I think it's just so powerful a concept that the Apostle Paul gives to us in his letter to the Ephesians because it's there that he encourages believers like you and I to put on the full armor of God and to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy and this armor is not just a metaphor right but it's a spiritual reality that that equips us for victory in our daily lives and I'm just thinking maybe somebody is looking for some victory in their life today and that's why I want to share with you about the armor of God. You know we're reminded in that of the strength and the protection that God provides for us. It is not a reflection of our own abilities but it is a declaration of our reliance upon him. Each piece of that armor it serves a specific purpose. It enables us to stand firm and to overcome any challenge that comes our way. Paul writes in Ephesians chapter 6 verses 10 and 11, finally be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. You know it's a verse that Paul is reminding us that our strength comes from the Lord and not our own efforts. The armor of God is it's not a physical armor right it's a spiritual one it consists of the belt of truth the breastplate of righteousness the the shoes of the gospel of peace the shield of faith the helmet of salvation the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and as you spend time in Ephesians 6 as you meditate on Paul's words and the armor of God remember we are not alone. We are not alone in this life. We are not alone in our battles. God has equipped us with everything we need to stand firm and to overcome and so put on the armor daily. Walk in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God. Be reminded that victory is already ours through Christ and I think sometimes we can forget that as we go through daily life and like I said maybe you're on here today and you are needing some victory in your life. Look no further. God has provided you the armor you need. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God and always remember that through Christ we have already become victorious. Believe it, claim it, be confident in it, pray it in his name and then start walking in it throughout the course of every single day. Be encouraged, be great, be blessed.
