Well, hey friends, I wanted to take a moment and talk about how to read the Bible. I know, interesting topic, right? But the Bible is not just an ordinary book, it is the living word of God. It's filled with wisdom and truth and the power to transform our lives, but reading and understanding the Bible can sometimes feel intimidating and overwhelming. And so I wanted to take a moment and explore how to approach the scriptures with confidence, joy, and a hunger to encounter God from page to page. You know, reading the Bible is not a task to be checked off our to-do list. It oftentimes gets kind of presented in that area. It's not anything like that at all. It's an opportunity to engage with the very heart of God. As you open the pages of scripture, we are encouraged to approach it with an open and humble heart. You know, God desires to reveal himself to us through his word, and he promises that when we seek him, we will find him. And we need to remember the Bible is not meant to be read as a mere intellectual exercise, but as a powerful encounter with a living God who loves you deeply. You know, Psalm 119 and verse 105 says, Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. As we journey through the pages of scripture, of the Bible, right, let us remember it's not just a book of ancient stories and moral teachings. It's a divine revelation that speaks directly to your heart, speaks directly into your soul. And so approach the word with reverence and expectation, for in its pages, we find guidance and we find comfort and we find transformative power that is rooted foundationally in God's love. I pray that that verse from Psalms, right, Psalm 119 and verse 105 reminds us that God's word serves as a lamp to guide our steps, a light to illuminate our path. As you read through the Bible, seek the Holy Spirit's guidance and allow his wisdom to enlighten your understanding. Let the word of God begin to shape your thoughts, shape your actions, form your character, fill you with hope, encourage you and strengthen you and fill you with the joy that comes from knowing him. Take time each day to spend moments of meditation in the Bible, read its truth, apply the teaching into your life, approach it with humility as a constant learner, allowing God to speak to you through its pages. And I pray that your journey of reading scripture will be one that is filled with awe and revelation and a deepening understanding of our relationship with our heavenly father. It begins by simply opening up your Bible and beginning to read. And I pray that you do that today because I know and I am believing for you that when you open up scripture, when you begin to read the heart of God, our life begins to be transformed in those moments.
