Good morning we're back again and we're going to look again at Colossians chapter 1 as we are thinking about the Bible. We ended yesterday with verse 10 and we'll start with verse 11 today. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people who live in the light for he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his dear Son who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. So we have more to pray about as we're praying for not only our own congregation as we mentioned but for the other churches and I I think it's it would be a really good place to start to begin to pray for the churches in our own town. Now I live in a small town there's only one other church two other churches should say that I would be praying for but I also serve as a chaplain on staff at a regional medical center which has a much larger town and has a number of churches there so I'm gonna take my own advice and expand into that larger town because I do pray for the the churches here but as I was thinking about this the other day talking to you about I thought you know I need to expand that into the the churches in the hospital in the town where the hospital is at but Paul says pray that they'll be strengthened in his glorious power so they'll have endurance and patience. He gives thanks to the Father that they've been enabled to share in this inheritance and he talks about this rescue from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light so these are things we can be praying about and giving thanks concerning on behalf of the other congregations we pray for that they'll have this power and endurance and patience and that they'll understand that they've been called out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light and about the glorious freedom that's been purchased in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So as you pray for these congregations you might go back and read through the first chapter of Colossians and just be thinking about that as you have made up this list and you start praying for these churches so I challenge you to do that it's it's something that we talk about and you might go to the video and see this and go oh well whatever but in the next days ahead weeks ahead maybe I can remember to kind of bring you up to speed on how that's going for me but as far as what has transpired in that making that after making that list so God bless you and I hope that this has been beneficial to you and I would like to leave you with this as you think about praying for these other congregations but I want you to be thinking about the freedom that has been purchased in Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of our sins as we have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light so think about that today God bless you know see you again tomorrow
