Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, everyone. I want to make sure I cover all the ground. My name is Tonya Lee Carey with Faith Basin. This is January, 2024, a new month. We are blessed to be a part of this new month and new year. And Lord, thank you. Before I open up real quick with what the Lord placed on my heart, and I want to thank everyone for coming back and all the newbies who want to check out to see what the Lord's going to say through me. Amen. Thank you. Welcome. Father God, we just thank you for this day that you have made, and we will continue to rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you for this new year. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to allow your purpose to continue to be fulfilled in and through us. And we just give you all the praise, honor, and glory, Lord Jesus, as we continue to trust in you with all our heart and soul, mind, and strength. In Jesus' name. Amen. I'm going to read from Ephesians 4, the pre, the post, and the middle. So this is the scripture that's before the actual scripture. I want to focus on this 4.23, and that is 4.22. And 22 says, to take off your formal way of life, the old self. And the old self, for that to happen, is know that we need the Lord. You know, we want to be changed. We want to be transformed. And the key verse is, to be renewed in the spirit of our minds. The spirit of our minds, the spirit of our attitudes. And if we are not reaching towards that renewal every single day, we're leaning back to the old. The old nature. The old man. That old self. You could be young, but that old self in ways will come out until you work diligently and daily on allowing the Lord to purify and wash and clean your mind, our minds, because every single day, I need it. And then once we do that, we're able to go more towards verse 24, is, and put on the new self. The one created according to God's likeness. That's the new. And I looked up the word in the Greek translation for the word renew, and it's youth. That means our mind is becoming younger, even though our bodies, I know my body is like it's deteriorating, but at the same time, our minds, our hearts are being renewed and becoming younger. And that's why I use, I think of Betty White. I mean, she is just like, before she passed in her nineties, she was just happy. I think it was joy. And that's what I desire. That joy to continue as my body deteriorate, but my mind is being renewed every day. Amen. Amen. That's the measure of grace we can recognize and being new as opposed to returning back and surrendering to the old. We surrender to the new and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. My name is Tanya Lee Carey. Until next time, happy new year again. Wow. We are blessed. I love you. And there's nothing you can do about it. Peace.
