I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10a).

Good morning. I want to give you a reminder this morning of the wonderful blessings we have in our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm going to read you from Isaiah 61 10. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord. My soul shall be joyful in my God for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with a robe of righteousness. We are told by Paul that we should put on Christ. We are told that we should be in Christ. We are told that we are covered with the righteousness of the Lord. And I guess the reminder that I want to toss your way this morning is the very simple fact that we don't depend upon ourselves for our salvation. That our salvation is a gift from the Lord and it is never dependent on something that we do. Now that's been true. That's been part of the gospel message from the very beginning. And we see it here in Isaiah chapter 61. It's nothing new, but it's I think helpful to be reminded of that on occasion that yes, we are saved by grace. Not by merit that we have somehow measured up to some standard. So as you're thinking about the Bible today, think about this passage in Isaiah 61 and maybe read that and mull that over a bit today as you consider our salvation in Jesus Christ. God bless y'all. See you again tomorrow.
