Of course we all desire God's blessing in 2024. But we must first understand that only comes through obedience!

Hello faith-based family. I wanted to share with you a little bit of what I'm going to be sharing this week on my page. It's some clips from my message Sunday that I shared here on New Year's Eve about what God requires of us in 2024. And I know that word require, it can hit people differently because a lot of times in our American churches we don't want to think that God requires things of us. We, unfortunately, we've kind of turned God into a genie that he's gonna bless me with this, he's gonna prosper me with this, he's gonna give me this, give me this, give me this, and God does do that. That is a an aspect of our relationship with the Lord is his blessings. But one things we see throughout Scripture, especially with Israel, all the way to us as individuals within the church, is that there is a requirement for his blessing. From the very beginning, God says, if you want my blessing, you have to be obedient. Meaning, I have to be obedient. If I want God to bless my church, if I want God to bless my family, if I want God to bless my health, all the different things, perfectly legitimate aspects of our life. If we want God to bless those things, he simply asks us to be obedient to his word. And I don't think that's an unrealistic thing of the Lord to ask, that he is nowhere in his word is God required to bless disobedience. Listen to what he says, this is Micah chapter 6 verse 8. He has told you, O man, what is good. Meaning, God has told us what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? This is a rhetorical question, and the Lord's about to answer that question, what the Lord requires of us. To do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God. So I want to encourage you to check out the lessons that I'm going to put up this week about what the Lord requires of us in 2024. Because I want you, I want my family, and I want my church, all of us to be obedient, faithful followers of Christ, so that he can bless us and use us as a conduit to bless other people. So listen, if I can do anything for you, if I can bless you in any way, please do me a favor, shoot me a message, let me know. God bless.
