Well, folks, as 2024 gets closer, not only should we be a people who pray without ceasing, we have to be a people of His Word. We have to be people who knows the very mind of Christ, as Colossian tells us. So I want to encourage you, as we go into this new year, we used to call it a quiet time when I was a teenager, growing up in the 80s and 90s. The big thing was your devotional quiet time. And I get that, but it needs to be not something that's religious, but something that's personal. And I want to encourage you to think through in 2024, when can be your quiet time, your devotion time. Mine is not at the house, because we got to get kids up and get them to school and do all those things. Mine's actually in here in my office when I can shut my door and it's just me and God and His Word, and I can study and I can know His truth. So that as David says, it will be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide your word in my heart so that I may not sin against you. So I want to encourage you in 2024, man, be a year of digging into God's Word. Now, I spent a lot of my childhood and young adult age either playing sports and coaching. And one of the things that we would always drill into our players, and then when I was a player was, man, you got to know the playbook. You got to know the plays. If I'm signaling in a play and you don't know what that play is, you're not going to be able to execute it when the time comes. And this is the playbook. You got to know the playbook, because if you don't know the playbook, how are you going to be able to execute what God's called you to do when the time comes? So I really want to encourage you as the new year's coming upon us to find your time. If it's in your home, if it's in an office, if it's wherever it may be, find your time daily to be in God's Word, to be studying so that you can accomplish what He's calling you to accomplish this new year all for the glory of Jesus.
