Hey folks, as we get closer to a new year, 2024 is going to be here before we know it. I want to take just a minute and encourage you to make sure to do one thing this year. Make sure to pray without ceasing. In Scripture, we are commanded to pray more than anything. We're commanded to pray more than we're told to go to church, than we're told to give. We're even commanded more to pray than we are to share the gospel. And I know that can sound strange, but when it comes to prayer, what we have to understand is that's our plug-in to the source and the power to be able to do those things. My kids' Xbox and all that stuff wouldn't be able to work unless it's plugged into the power source. And prayer is our way of being plugged into the power source, to make sure that we can be the person that God calls us to be, whether you're a mom or a dad or a husband or a wife, whatever title you may go by. And our strength to do that is from the Lord. And our connection to Him, that communication, is through prayer. And I had a conversation with a lady earlier this week who's going through some stuff, and she said, I just don't feel like praying. I don't know what to pray. I don't know what to say. Say that. Say that. Just tell the Lord, I don't know what to say. I told her, just express what you're feeling. Just talk to Him like you're talking to me now. Don't worry about the method in which you pray, the words you use. Are they fancy enough? Are they religious enough? Just talk. Just talk to the Lord and tell Him how you feel. Tell Him what you're going through. He knows all that already. He just wants to talk to you about those things. So I want to encourage you, as 2024 gets closer, pray without ceasing. Be a person of prayer so that you can be plugged into the source to do what God's called you to do this year, to accomplish all the things God's called you to accomplish. So pray without ceasing.
