Don't let me go...that is the feeling that sometimes we experience when WE distance ourselves from God! Yet, He promises us not to leave us nor forsake us, especially when we have a repentant heart.

Dear friends, last night I had a chance to see the eighth episode of series three of The Chosen. I don't know if you guys have seen it. I'm sure that many of you are familiar with that series, wonderfully done. The sets, the lighting, the sound, and even the story, the way they're actually implementing the Bible with some of the Hollywood liberty, I should say, in the interpretation. But there was one scene in particular that grabbed my attention. And I want to share that with you. Don't let me go. I got you. I got you. Oh, you have little faith. Why did you doubt? Don't let me go now. I have much planned for you, Simon, including hard things. Just keep your eyes on me. I promise you. Come on, help me. Please, help me. Please, don't let me go, please. I'm sorry. Don't let me go, please. I'm sorry, please don't let me go. Please, be still. Please. Don't let me go. I'm here. I'm always here. Now, I did some editing on that scene. The original scene is a little bit different because we're seeing also the reaction of Peter's wife to that situation. But the beautiful thing was how Peter kept saying, I'm sorry. And then accompanied with I'm sorry was, don't let me go. I'm sorry, don't let me go. I'm sorry, don't let me go. And the beauty of that is just the contrite heart. I'm sorry. I'm dirty. I'm not worthy to be in your presence. So, please, don't let go of me because I need you so much. So many times in moments of needs, we don't want that person, that savior to let go of us. And that reminds me of another movie that was beautiful. I saw it three weeks ago when I came back from Italy on the airplane. It's called Ambulance. I don't know how many of you saw that movie. I recommend it. But there is a scene where this one nurse actually helped this one baby that was a baby, a young girl, that was in a terrible car accident. They had to use the jaw of life to get her out. And so she was with her. And then some, I'm not going to tell you the story. But then at the end of it, you see the little girl waking up and seeing the nurse again. And here is the scene. Don't let go. So, the beauty of that is, again, a person that is feeling helpless, relying on somebody bigger, somebody stronger, somebody that can help him to get out of that situation. And that truly represents the relationship that we have with our father, where we are so stuck so many times and we're saying, oh, don't let go. Forgive me. That's a beautiful part of the repentance. Forgive me. I'm sorry. Don't let me go. How many of us go quickly to him saying, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And don't let go of me. And here's the promise, a beautiful promise. It's in Deuteronomy 31.8. I'll read it to you. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid and do not be discouraged. And last night we had our Bible study and we see so much pain, so much discouragement, so much anxiety and fear around us. And that truly reveals our lack of faith. Because with this kind of promises that the Lord is giving us, I'm never going to leave you nor forsake you. Then we're not going to listen to the lies of the enemy, which tells us otherwise. You're alone. He doesn't care. We know that God doesn't slumber, doesn't go on vacation, like bow, right? So let's hang on to that promise. Okay, guys, this is it for today. Love you. God bless you.
