The hope of Christmas…the hope of the season….it’s the same hope that is at the foundation of the world. Take a moment and be reminded of all that we have in Christ Jesus.

Well, hey, Faith Base, this is part three of our Christmas series. Part one we talked about joy, part two we talked about love, and today I want to talk about hope. You know, Christmas is a season that is filled with hope. It's a time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, who was and is the promised Messiah who came to bring hope into a broken world. And in the midst of all of the daily rhythms and challenges and uncertainties and trials that we might face, that we have faced, that we will face, Christmas reminds us that there is always hope in Christ. And so today I just wanted to take a moment and reflect with you on the hope of Christmas and how it can sustain us through every season of life, not just the Christmas season, but in our everyday lives. You know, the hope of Christmas is not just a fleeting optimism or wishful thinking. It is more than that. It is a confident expectation that God is with us, that He loves us, and that He has a plan and that He has a purpose for our lives. You know, this hope is not dependent upon circumstances. It's rooted, its foundation is in the unchanging character of God. I know things change in our world rapidly, but God's character is unchanging. And so as we celebrate Christmas, we hold fast to the hope that Jesus brings, and we trust in His faithfulness. You know, the Bible says, for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. That's Jeremiah 29 in verse 11. And so as we celebrate Christmas on this Christmas Eve Eve, right, may the hope of Christmas, may the hope of Christ fill our hearts and our minds. And may we all remember that no matter what we face, no matter what challenge or trial we face, we have a hope that is secure in Him. And I pray that this hope sustains you, that it sustains all of us through every season of life. And it gives us the strength that we need to persevere. Remember, the hope of Christmas is not limited to a season or to a day. It is a hope that is there with us every day of the year. More than that, every day of our life throughout eternity. And so I pray that the hope of Christmas bring you comfort, bring you peace, and bring you assurance today, tomorrow, on Christmas Day, and every day of your life. Be great, be blessed, be filled with joy, be filled with love, be filled with hope. We'll see you next time.
