Verse 3 of Psalm 17, you've tested my heart. Lord, we come before you this morning and we ask that you would test our heart, that we would not resist your testing, that we would not resist your visitation, Lord God, in the night, that we would allow you by the power of your Holy Spirit to stir our consciousness, to stir our hearts, to guide us by your Word and your Spirit, Lord God. Heavily Father, the psalmist says that you have tried me and have found nothing. I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Lord, may that be true of us. Lord, I know in my own life there are times that I am not faultless before you by any means as far in my own strength, none of us are, but there are times when I speak words that are harsh, there are times when I entertain thoughts that are not pleasing to you, there are times when my actions, or lack of action oftentimes, when I should be reaching out with love and expressing Christlikeness, Lord, there are times when I do not. Lord, so there are sins of commission and sins of omission where we refuse purpose in our own selfishness not to express the Christlikeness that we should, but Lord God, I pray that you would test our hearts, that you would look deep within our soul and reveal to us those things that need to be changed, Lord, reveal to us the dark corners or the hidden passages where we have decided that we will continue to reign supreme in our own life, and we should not do that, Lord, so we pray that you will try us and we ask that you will find nothing that is displeasing to you, Lord, that you will find Christ and his presence there in us, that your spirit will guide us with the word and your presence, Lord God. And Lord, just now there's been a text that came through, and you know, Lord, that we've been praying this morning for a young girl who is currently in a diabetic coma, Lord God, and I pray that that text is good news, Lord, we'll look at that later, but Lord, I just want to bring that before your Lily, that you will lift her and strengthen her, Lord God, that you will bring her out of that coma, bring her to health and strength, and that the medical team will be able to provide exactly the care that she needs, Lord, and she will be able to get back to her normal living situation, normal activities of a young girl, so bless her, we pray, Lord God, she and her family, we ask, will be blessed, Heavenly Father. Lord, we pray these things, and we're just gonna conclude today, Heavenly Father, with that on our minds as we think about Lily and just her family's needs at this point in time. Pray for healing and blessings and peace, and we ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
