ππ₯ FULL DEVO BELOWπ₯π Eph 4:1-2, 15-16 "1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love...." We can apply all of these application truths to our lives as stewards: be humble, be gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love...and all of the other places in scripture we find direction for how to treat each other! "15...Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." We are meant to steward our lives to see the church be built up and grow up into the mature body of Christ that we are supposed to be. We reach maturity as a body by doing two things: - Speaking truth in love - this helps us grow! - Doing our part in the work of God We must use our gifts and talents, abilities and skills for the flourishing of God's body, the church. REFLECT 1. Who do you need to speak truth IN LOVE to at your church? 2. What do you bring to the table in the body of Christ? What natural skills, what abilities that you've picked up along the way, that you can share with the body of Christ? These can be trades skills, relational skills, athletic or business or academic or scientific or engineering...you name it! PRAY Be honest with God. Be honest with yourself. Sit with him and allow him to speak to you today in regards to these things. Ask for his insight and direction. Let him lead you.
