If you're new to the channel, I just want to let you know that typically most of my observations are toward the end of the tape, so please view the whole video to get to those conclusions. So on Tuesday, our president organized a party to celebrate his plan to reduce inflation, even though we had it at 8.3%. It's the worst period in 41 years. But what is even funnier is that while he was celebrating and talking, the stock market was plummeting. I mean, we lost 5% points, which makes it the worst day since June of 2020. And if that wasn't enough, the House Press Secretary, Carine Jean-Pierre, said that the inflation is basically flat. There is no inflation. I don't know what they're smoking. In the meantime, here is what we are left with. In the past 12 months alone, I have some data right here, 13.5% more in grocery bills, 15.8% more in electricity, 24.3% more in health costs, 68% increase in fuel. Meantime, government spending is rampant, especially for the green deals. And that government spending accounts for half of our inflation. And the president wants to recruit 87,000 IRS agents. That's as much as the Italian army to actually go out there and make sure that we pay our fair share because of their spending. But these apocalyptic news don't faze Biden. Actually, no, he celebrates because four weeks ago, he turned into law his plan to reduce inflation, which by the way, most economists are saying is worthless. It really sounds like a bad joke, but it's sad because it's a reality, and it's more like a nightmare. I don't think that leadership in this country could do worse, even if they try to. And by now, you might say, Pepo, what does this have to do with the thumbnail that I saw or the title of the video? Well, two weeks ago, Jane actually bought a big water filter to remove all the chemical agents that are in tap water, like fluoride, mercury, aluminum, chromium. And this made me think about what we are experiencing worldwide. We are surrounded by something that goes beyond fake news. They're actual straight out lies. So how do we filter what is harmful to our mental health? How do we react when we hear or see certain news? And then with our own very eyes, we are seeing something that is opposite, just like what happened on Tuesday. Do our leaders scoff so much that they think that we are so stupid or uninformed? What is the filter that you use to formulate your own worldview? Is it political ideology? Is it the worldview around you? Is it what you have been brought up in the family? There is a scripture I would like to read to you. It's in 2 Timothy 3, verse 16 and 17. All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the men of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. And that is just one of the things that the Word of God does for us. The beauty of His Word, that is His wisdom, its relevance, its depth, serves as a filter that goes beyond time, beyond ethnicity, beyond political views. So the news, the podcast, the film, even the music and social media can definitely formulate the way we see things around us, our own worldview. And if we are not careful to filter it properly, it will be just like the running water coming out of the faucet that on a long run can cause disease, just like Alzheimer, dementia, neurological problems, or even cancer. There is an old saying that knowledge teaches you how to build a bridge, but wisdom tells you if you need to. His wisdom not only helps us to identify the truth, but teaches us how to react to the surroundings. And often, dear friend, that reaction is counter-cultural, is going against the current. Think of Romans, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. So may His Word be a light unto our path, unto our feet, and may we be live fish, ready to swim against the current, instead of floating downstream as a dead fish. Thank you for listening.
