It's more than just a story of the birth of a child. It's THE story of the birth of our King, our God, our Sacrifice!

Another one of my favorite Christmas hymns that we sing is We Three Kings. I did a study last week on the meaning of the different gifts. So you can go back in the older videos and look at the meaning of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Because it's part of the song We Three Kings. The first stanza is about them coming in and bearing the gifts. Then the middle three are about the different gifts. And then the fifth stanza. There's a fifth stanza to We Three Kings. And I love what it says. It's very simplistic. But it's what all the different gifts are about. And it's what this season is supposed to be about. Glorious now, behold Him arise, King and God and sacrifice. Alleluia, alleluia, earth to heaven replies. It's really that simple. This whole season, all the gifts, all the lights and trees and food and all that stuff, all comes down to glorious now, behold Him arise, King and God and sacrifice. The whole reason that that little baby was born was to be the sacrifice for you and for me. If you need any encouragement today to be able to go out and to serve and love others, it's because we were first loved and we were first served by God Himself. God became a man in order to be our sacrifice. And that's what those three kings, those three wise men, those three educated scientists, and there could have been more than three, it just says wise men, so we know there were at least two. They understood with those gifts that Jesus was king, He was priest, and He was born to be our sacrifice. So I want to encourage you today in the love and grace of God that He has shown you from the cross, man, share that with somebody else today and be a living sacrifice, as Romans chapter 8 calls us to be, a living sacrifice of worship for the glory and honor of Jesus. Let's do that today. God bless. If I can help you in any way, if I can pray for you in that process, please just shoot me a message and let me know. Have a good day.
