Well hey faith-based friends don't don't worry about switching the video I'm okay I know it looks scary like I'm lost in the dark but I'm not I'm just sitting outside the opera house waiting for our daughter I've told you before she's in White Christmas and the show gets over around 10 o'clock so I'm I'm waiting for her but I wanted to tell you a story I was working on a friend's acoustic guitar today just doing some minor repairs and it was a great reminder of God's work in our life just as a skilled luthier that's who a guitar repairist is called you know meticulously fixes a broken instrument and restores it to our original state God does the same thing for us bringing harmony and beauty into every aspect of our lives and I wanted to encourage you with that tonight and just remind you because in life we often encounter brokenness and and and we can get weary at times whether it be and you know our health or relationships or maybe circumstances just aren't going our way and it's during these times that we can feel discouraged and we can become overwhelmed but the good news of the gospel is that our God is a master craftsman who is capable of transforming the broken pieces of our life into something beautiful and like I said just as a skilled luthier works diligently to repair and restore that acoustic guitar of which I'm not by the way but I was just doing minor repairs God is always at work in our lives shaping us molding us into his image he always sees the potential that is within us even when we feel broken and we feel damaged he's able to mend all of that he's able to mend the the strings of our heart he's able to heal our wounds he's able to restore the melody of joy and peace that is within us there is a great verse in the Bible that says create in me a pure heart O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me that Psalms 51 verse 10 it is a great verse that reminds us we are not alone in our journey towards restoration that God is with us every step of the way gently guiding us toward a place of healing toward a place of renewal and just as that craftsman works on each and every piece of the guitar restoring it God does the same thing intimately involved in reshaping our hearts renewing our spirits he desires to create within us a pure heart that's that's free from the burdens of brokenness and to infuse us with a steadfast spirit that remains unwavering throughout the challenges we may face in life and so tonight as as you as you reflect on that reflect on the process of of repair right remember that that God is able to restore that God is able to bring harmony to every area of your life because he is the master craftsman and he's capable of turning every brokenness into beauty and we can find comfort in that we can find hope in that we can find peace and power in his presence knowing that he is always working for our good and so just surrender take a moment surrender during worship tomorrow surrender that brokenness to him allow him time to restore it to something beautiful so that he can make a melody in our lives I hope that message finds you well be great be blessed be encouraged and we'll see you next time
