What's up everybody! My name is Zeal. Thank you for tuning in today. I'm a little more dressed up because we just finished singing at an event and it was lots of fun but I just wanted to get on and give this message today as I was just like Lord from the Holy Spirit I've been feeling like we're on the brink of a breakthrough. Like just don't give up because the enemy wants you to focus on your circumstances and what you're going through and all the other fluff or whatever and miss out on your blessing to have you start complaining and doubt in God and all this kind of stuff and operate in fear and just lose your joy lose your focus but continue to seek first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness and everything would be added to you. God got you like for real but I wanted to talk about how sometimes in life something may feel like a punishment from the Lord or delay or man I missed it or you know when is my time coming when really he's setting you up for a blessing so I wanted to read from Luke chapter 1 verses 18 through 20 and this is the story about Zacharias who is the husband to Elizabeth and Zacharias is actually a priest for the Lord and during this time you know he's older in age Elizabeth is older in age as well and they never had a child she was barren right but he's a priest to the Lord he's like I'm serving the Lord and everything and I didn't get a child you know and there's could be disappointments even while we serve God but he was still faithful to step up to the plate it says earlier in the chapter that it was his day to offer the incense to God and so while he was doing that an angel Gabriel visited him in the temple and started speaking to him and letting him know how you're actually gonna have a son he's gonna lead the way for you know the Messiah basically and he's gonna be real special he's gonna bring a lot of souls to to the church or to Christ he's gonna kind of be a forerunner to make sure that Jesus is heard about and people are getting ready for his coming before he actually is born and so that he's talking about John the Baptist Jesus's cousin right Zacharias is like okay he gets this whole experience you know he's all he went in the all he went in the sanctuary to do was to offer the incense he's like okay let me just go about my way let me do my little duty and get up out of here you know my wife is cooking dinner I'm just playing that's not in there but you know he's probably just like I'm just gonna offer my sacrifice in here the incense and go on home or whatever they do after and he has this encounter and it even talks about how people are like man he's taking a long time in there you know but he's literally about to receive a promise of a child so it says Zacharias to the angel how shall I know this for I am an old man and my wife is well advanced in age like how you gonna tell me I'm gonna have a child well how how can this actually be true and it says in the angel answered and said to him I am Gabriel who stands in the presence of God and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings but behold you will be mute and not be able to speak until the day these things take place because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time and so I'm only saying that sometimes what feels like a punishment is actually God setting you up for a blessing death and life is in the power of our tongue or when we doubt and we're wavering we can hold up our blessings or even complaining and murmuring to hold up our blessings and so he became a mute and I just see that as God's love over him to like not cancel out his blessing because his faith was low in that area of how can I have a child and I'm old and age my wife is old and age we're beyond those years to be able to have children how can this be true we could cancel out our blessing because we've we've experienced such a track record of either disappointment or this hasn't happened for me or whatever else and we're just like well this is the new norm even as we're serving God so I just want to he was a priest okay he went in there to serve the Lord so I just want to encourage you to hold on God is still the miracle working God that we read about in the Bible there is nothing too hard for him put your faith in him don't waver just keep your eyes on Jesus he loves you and don't just keep your eyes on Jesus for a bunch of blessings keep your eyes on Jesus because everything else is falling apart keep your eyes on Jesus because he's your everything keep your eyes on Jesus because you love him keep your eyes on Jesus because you love his people I hope that encourages you do not give up sometimes what feels like a delay or a punishment he became mute what feels like a punishment is actually God wanting to bless you and he wants to reveal himself to you in a different way so I want you to go out there and release the zeal you have for God I love you so much I hope you have an amazing week God bless you bye
