Hey, good morning, friends, happy Friday. If you haven't figured it out by now, I like finding faith in everyday places and I'm sitting here and I'm getting ready this morning and this simple act of combing your hair sparked a thought and a promise from scripture that I think sometimes gets overlooked in the daily routine of our lives and sometimes we could miss out on the care and attention that God lavishes upon us and so I thought as I'm getting ready and combing my hair, maybe you're doing the same thing, we could actually think through that and be encouraged by this incredible promise that is found in scripture that comes from our God. I say it often, I'll continue to say it in a fast-paced world that we live in, it is easy to overlook small things that bring joy and order to our lives. This one right here is such an act, right? It can bring a sense of peace, self-care, make you feel confident, good about yourself as you take time just to, maybe if you've got longer hair, gently untangle it or just the simple act of grooming it, it serves as a reminder of the importance of self-care and nurturing your well-being. So just as combing your hair creates order and neatness to your appearance, God desires to bring order and beauty to our lives and God desires to untangle some of the complexities and the challenges that we face, offering his love and guidance to bring clarity and peace and comfort and purpose and we just need to take a moment to appreciate that, to appreciate that we have a God who is in the business of divine care and attention and he provides that for us. You know, the Bible says, are not two sparrows sold for a penny, yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside of your father's care and even the very hairs of your head are numbered. So don't be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew chapter 10 verses 29 through 31, it is a verse that reminds us of God's intimate knowledge and concern for even the smallest details in our lives and just as he cares for the sparrows and knows the number of hairs on your head, he is aware of your needs, he is aware of your struggles, he's aware of your dreams and desires and we can take comfort in the fact that we are valued and we are loved by our heavenly father who watches over us with incredibly great care. So as you go about your day today, as you're in the process of combing your mop like mine, may it serve as a gentle reminder of God's love and attention for you in your life. Face the beauty of self-care and allow God to untangle those complexities or those worries that may be weighing you down today. Remember you are precious in his sight, he is always present to guide you and care for you and I pray that your day be filled with peace and the assurance of God's unfailing love.
