Faithbase

Well, hey, faith-based friends, it is a brisk 37 degrees here this morning, I wanted to jump on and just wish you a great day. I hope you are greatly blessed today. And I wanted to share some thoughts with you this morning just about life, specifically about aging. It's a season of life that none of us can escape. Society will often portray it, right? Our culture often portrays aging as a challenge or a struggle or something to be avoided or evaded. But when you dive into the word of God, it gives us a completely different perspective and focus on the beauty and the blessing that comes with growing older. I'm reminded of that some days more than others when I come out here, this process of aging, embracing the natural process of aging allows us to cultivate a few things. It allows us to cultivate wisdom, it allows us to cultivate maturity, it allows us to cultivate a deep appreciation for the experiences that we have encountered along the way in our journey of life. With each passing year, it is a testament to the strength and the resilience that resides within us. God put that in us, it's a spirit that he put inside of us. And so instead of dwelling on the physical challenges that may occur from time to time, we're able to celebrate the growth of our character and the richness of relationships and the priceless lessons we have learned, no matter how difficult, challenging or successful they may have been. The Bible says for everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven. That's Ecclesiastes chapter three and verse one. So just as the seasons change, so do the stages of our lives, right? There's a bit of an ebb and flow to it. And that verse reminds us that aging is a part of God's divine plan. It reassures us that every season has a purpose and every season has beauty. And we can find comfort in knowing that God's hand is guiding us through every chapter of our lives, including this special season of aging. I don't know how that hits you, but I thought it would be a good reminder because it's part of our spiritual development, spiritual journey. So I want to encourage you to embrace the beauty of aging with gratitude and joy, cherish the wisdom that oftentimes is overlooked, that comes with each passing year and find some solace in the knowledge that our creator is with us every step of the way. As we navigate this journey we call life, may we be a source of inspiration. May we be a source of encouragement to others, right? Reminding them of the blessings that come with growing older. And remember, aging is not a burden, but a gift. It's an opportunity to live a life that radiates love and grace that comes from our heavenly father. And so may you be blessed this morning. May you be blessed today as you move through your day. May you be blessed as you look into the mirror today, because it's going to happen at some point in time and see yourself in all of the glory that God has bestowed upon you and know that you are filled with joy and beauty and wisdom and grace and gratitude and all of those blessings that God brings down from heaven into our lives.
