Dr. J Thoughts: Harmonies of Gratitude: Celebrating God's Blessings This Holiday Season

Scripture: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord." - Psalm 150:6, New International Version (NIV) As we embrace the warmth and joy of this Christmas season, let's unite in a chorus of gratitude and praise for our Almighty God. His presence in our lives has been nothing short of miraculous – a Waymaker in times of uncertainty, a Revelator in moments of confusion, an Educator guiding us with wisdom, and a ceaseless Giver of blessings. In these festive times, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, but let's not forget the One who is the reason for our joy and hope. God's goodness and mercy have been our companions throughout the year, and it's time to acknowledge His grace with a heart full of thanksgiving. Let's praise Him not just with our words, but through our actions. Let every act of kindness, every gesture of love, and every moment of selflessness be an offering of praise to Him. As we gather around festive tables, light up our homes, and share gifts, let's remember to also share the greatest gift we have received – the love and salvation of God. This season, as we sing carols and hymns, let those melodies be a reflection of the joy in our hearts. Let's magnify and glorify His name, not just in our homes and churches, but in our communities and wherever life takes us. Our praise should not be confined to the walls of a sanctuary; it should spill out into the world, a testament to the joy and hope we have in Him. Remember, praising God is not just a duty; it's a privilege. It's an expression of our love and gratitude for who He is and all He has done. So, let's lift our hearts and voices, let's "get our praise on," and let the world know that we serve a living, loving, and wonderful God. As you celebrate this season, do so with a spirit of thanksgiving. Embrace each moment, cherish each day, and let your life be a continuous hymn of praise to our Heavenly Father. For He is good, His love endures forever, and His faithfulness continues through all generations. Let's rejoice and be glad in it!

Thanksgiving

Greetings and salutations. We're certainly happy that you're here with us today. And today we're gonna talk about the power of praise and thanksgiving. You know, in our devotion today, we want to encourage you that in the midst of this holiday season, in the midst of the hustle and bustle, that you will take time to realize that sometime you just got to get your praise on. And getting your praise on is many times tied to a heartfelt conviction within your spirit of the goodness of Jesus. Has God been good to you? Has he made ways out of no way? Has he been an answer to your unanswered problems? Has he been a stress reliever in the midst of your turmoil? Has he been an answer when you were in the midst of ambiguity? Has he been a solution when you were confused and feeling abused? Has he been a giver when you were totally without? Has he been a way maker when you didn't know which way to go? Has he been a revelator and an educator when you weren't sure what to do? You know, sometime when you think about the goodness of Jesus and all that he's done for you, you know, when your soul truly cries out, hallelujah, thank you, God, for what you do, you have to get your praise on. You know, and when you think about having an attitude of gratitude, one in which that says, Lord, you're the potter, I'm the clay, you're the molder, and you have shaped me, you made me, and you have continued to abide within me. And for this, I'm glad. And so, Lord, I just wanna take a moment to just say thank you. That's what I'm talking about when I'm saying getting your praise on. Each and every one has their own unique way of maybe magnifying the Lord and praising the Lord. But one thing that I wanna encourage you to do is get your praise on. However it is that you do it, do it until you're satisfied. Do it in honor and in reverence to the blessings God has provided to you and for you. Well, I'm not gonna stay long before you today, but I wanna encourage you, please check out the devotion. Take a moment and read what we have today about getting your praise on. And when you think about the goodness of Jesus, sometimes getting your praise on is just saying, hallelujah, thank you, Lord, for being a way maker. Hallelujah, thank you, Lord, for being a revelator. Hallelujah, thank you, Lord, for being an educator. Thank you, Lord, for being a way maker. And so as you go forth this day and in this holiday season, get your praise on and check out today's devotion. It's all about getting your praise on. All right, God bless you, we love you.
