Faithbase

Good morning, faith-based family, and happy Monday. I hope you had a blessed weekend and that you are prepared for the week ahead. And maybe you're not prepared for the week ahead. Maybe you are waking up and you're saying, hey, I need to get ready, need to get ready to rock and roll and I pray that God blesses you with wisdom and energy and insight to be able to head into this week the way that you want to. And I wanted to share this morning, I know I've shared about comparison a few times in videos in the past, but it's been something that's been on my heart a lot recently as I've found myself being in a place of comparison and comparing myself to others or my life to others. And I was reading in Dream Big by Bob Goff and very early in the book, he's describing his wife and how his wife lives with this understanding that God does not compare what he created, that God does not compare what he created. And it was such an encouraging and simple statement and simple truth, but it's profound. And I want to encourage you with that today as well, that God doesn't compare you to anyone else. He created you for a reason. He created you unique, one of one, and he doesn't compare you to anyone else. And then we read in Ephesians 2.10 that we are God's handiwork, that we're created by him to do the good work that he prepared for us to do. And that's a verse and a passage that I've really been leaning into and anchoring myself into to understand, God created me one of one for a specific reason, for reasons that he knew about well before I was even created, and he doesn't compare me. He doesn't compare me to anyone else. So why am I comparing myself to others? And so I've been sitting with this question and this thought that I want to challenge you with as well, is how would you show up differently in your life, in your world, to the people around you if you laid into that confidence that you are unique, that God doesn't compare you to anyone else, and you step into that confidence and knowing that there's no reason to compare yourself to others as well. And so I hope that encourages you. I hope that blesses you as you head into your week. If you find yourself leaning into comparison, let us rest in knowing that we were created by God, one of one, he does not compare you to anyone else. So I pray that encourages you and that blesses you over your week, and I hope you have a great day in Jesus' name.
