Well, hey, Faith Base, happy Friday afternoon. I wanted to take a moment and kind of continue this thread that we started several days ago on just thinking through Christmas. We are in the Christmas season, and I thought it might be good to talk about some of those Christmas people that we find in the Bible. So I wanted to take a minute and just think with you about Mary and Joseph. You know, Mary and Joseph's faith journey began with some unexpected news. So here you have Mary, who is this young virgin, and she is visited by an angel who reveals to her that she would conceive a child by the Holy Spirit and give birth to the Son of God. And so Joseph, her fiancé, is faced with an internal struggle, his own internal struggle, as he learned of Mary's pregnancy. However, instead of letting fear and doubt consume them, Mary and Joseph chose to trust in God's plan. And their faith journey, I think, is a great example, and it teaches us that even in the face of uncertainty and maybe some unexpected circumstances, we can find comfort and strength in God. And it reminds us that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His plans are always good, even when we struggle to gain vision and clarity on them while we're in the moment. So let's take a minute and reflect on Matthew chapter 1, verses 20 and 21, which says this, But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. It's a verse in the moment of a life that reassures us, as it did to Joseph, that God is always present in our lives, that God is always guiding us through every step. Just as He provided guidance and encouragement to Joseph, the good news of the gospel says He's ready to do the same for you and I, that we can trust in His perfect timing and His unfailing love. And so as we think through that, as I bring this video to a close, I want to encourage you to take a moment and reflect on the faith journey of Mary and Joseph and their unwavering trust in God's plan. Despite the challenges, they remind us that we too can overcome obstacles with the power of faith. And I hope their story, their journey inspires you, inspires me, inspires all of us to embrace the unexpected and to trust in God's purpose for our lives. And it's a good reminder that God is always with us. He's always leading us. He's step by step on this journey of faith, leading us in hope and love. And I hope that encourages you today in the midst of this Christmas season. I hope when those unexpected moments happen, we can reflect on that. We can think about Mary, we can think about Joseph, and we can be reassured that all is well because God is with us. Be great. Be blessed.
