Well, hey, Faith Base, good morning, happy Friday. I hope this video finds you well. I wanted to take a moment this morning and think through this remarkable story of David and Goliath. If you know the story, then you know it is a tale of courage and faith and power and God's provision, and it's a story that reminds us that no matter how daunting the circumstances you're facing may seem, victory is possible if and when we trust in the Lord, which is good news from the gospel for you and I today. I think this story, if you know it well, is a story that is an extraordinary example of how God can use the most unexpected individuals to accomplish his purpose. So you have David, who is this young shepherd boy facing a colossal warrior named Goliath, and the odds, as you can imagine, are stacked against him. But David has unwavering faith and trust in God, and that very weapon in and of itself propelled him forward. I think sometimes we may find ourselves in situations where challenges seem insurmountable. Maybe you're there today, maybe you know someone who is there. Like David, we might feel inadequate or ill-prepared, but we've gotta remember, it's not the size of the challenge that determines our victory, it is the size of our faith in God. And that is good news from the gospel for us today. There's inspiration from the word for us in 1 Samuel 17, verse 47. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves, for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give all of you into our hands. As we kind of wind this down, because I wanted this to just be a short, inspirational and empowerment for you today, take comfort in the fact that our God is greater than any challenge or any obstacle we face. Just as David triumphed over Goliath, we too can experience victory if and when we place our trust in the Lord. So remember friends, faith is our base. It is God's strength that is made perfect in our weakness. God is our ever-present help in times of trouble, and no matter what challenges we encounter, let us face them with courage, knowing that the battle is the Lord's. I pray that that story of David and Goliath serves as a reminder that God is on your side, that we can conquer any Goliath in our lives. All we have to do is trust in his provision, lean on his guidance, and walk in the confidence of his unfailing love. Father, I thank you for the story of David and Goliath, which teaches us and empowers us in trusting you. Help us to remember that no matter the challenge, it is never too great, for we rely on your strength. Grant us the courage to face our Goliaths with unwavering faith and the assurance that the victory is already ours. We pray it, we believe it, and we proclaim it in Jesus' name, amen. I hope you're encouraged by that message this morning. Have a phenomenal day. Be blessed, be great. We'll see you next time.
