The fifth fruit of the Spirit that Paul talks about in Galatians chapter 5 is kindness. We've covered love, joy, peace, patience, and now kindness. And it's a very simplistic word. It simply means temper. The ability for you to be able to hold your temper. And not when things are going good. It's easy to have a good temper. It's easy to stay calm. It's easy to stay collected and focused when things are going good. This word kindness, specifically in relation to another individual, is when that other individual is pressing your buttons. And that other individual, whether it's personal or sometimes it's just a personality. Sometimes your personality just doesn't click with somebody else. That's when the spiritual gift of kindness needs to kick in. That's when you are reminded by the Holy Spirit that you are called to be kind. Now that doesn't mean that that person may not bother you. That their behavior may not get on your nerves a little bit. That again, that your personalities may clash a little bit. It doesn't say you're gonna go on vacation together. That's not what Paul's telling us here. What Paul's telling us here is even if they do clash, you're still called to be kind. To have kind words. To have kind body movement. To have kind facial expressions. To be kind. Because I promise you, there's nobody that can hurt the Holy Spirit and hurt our relationship with Christ more than we can, yet he stays kind with us. Yet he stays loving with us. So I want to encourage you today, if you're going through your day and things are going rough and things are not going well and maybe somebody's kind of getting on your nerves a little bit, remember the spiritual fruit of kindness. Be kind with your words, with your face, with your actions. Be kind because God was kind to us first. If I can help in any way, if I can pray for in any way to help you along in that process, shoot me a message. Let me know. God bless. Have a great day.
