The world standards can lead us to believe the lies that we are not good enough or deserving of love and respect. But what if there’s a different way to see ourselves? Those who struggle with feelings of unworthiness can find hope and healing in the truth, that they are loved and valued by God. Embracing this truth can lead to a transformation, and how we see ourselves and how we live our lives. Society will say that we have to earn the feeling of being worthy through productivity or performance, beauty, or talent. We often tell ourselves and have the negative core belief of “I am not worthy,” which may have form from life experiences. When we don’t challenge it, it becomes a lens, through which view the world, others, ourselves, and it affects how we interpret interactions. The devil can remind us of our failures and tell us we are disqualified. Just remind him of his end, and put on the full armor of God (Revelation 20:10, Ephesians 6:11). We must renew our minds with the truth of God‘s word, and cultivate a deeper understanding of his love for us are worth is defined by God‘s words.
