Hey everybody, I'm back. My name is Tanya Lee Carey with Faithbase and the message is called to serve with love, not to serve with Sidney Pollack. Okay, we're gonna serve others with love. We're gonna open up with prayer. Father God, we just thank you. We thank you for being the El Shaddai Emmanuel. You are with us Lord God, that we continue to decrease and you increase in our lives because we desperately need you, especially during this holiday season. We give you all the praise, honor and glory in Jesus mighty name, amen, amen. The premise of this, the message, short message is all about volunteerism. I have a PhD in being a volunteer. It was not on purpose. I literally became addicted to serve. That means being a volunteer and that means not getting any money. But I've learned over the years in this addiction that I have in serving and giving to others, it come from the Lord because the increase most times, 99% of the time does not come back to you on the people you serve, but it come back to us from the great I am. And when you're able to serve people and it's from your heart and it's unconditional, it's agape love, there's nothing like it. And if you are not working and you are not going to church, you are not gonna want to give anything to anybody because in our mind, we may think, rationalize that we can't afford it. Brothers and sisters, we cannot afford in serving others, serving others hope, serving others that you can bake, whatever gift you have, God didn't give it just for you. And it's not just for your family, it is for people around you so they can see the semblance of the God who created you, amen. So I started serving, it was an accident. Yeah, God, there's no accidents with God. I wanted to give back on my birthday and I didn't know when or what, I knew when. And I'm thinking one day, it was my birthday weekend and the whole weekend God wanted me to serve in the prisons. And I thought, maybe I didn't hear you right, Lord. You know, that changed my life. 15 years in the prison ministry, I was received there. I mean, I went there pouring out my heart and it was just, it was not something I ever dreamed about, serving. In the church, I started off as a greeter. I mean, you know, how you doing? Welcome to sign up center. I packed food for children, people in Africa. I was a youth leader. I mean, I can go on and on and on on why I have a PhD in volunteerism. So this holiday, you're by yourself, serve, volunteer. You'll never, it will be seized that God will reap, you will reap the increase from it. Until next time, my name is Tanya Lee Carey. Serve with agape love and God will bring the increase.
