Well the fourth fruit of the Spirit that Paul talks about in Galatians chapter 5 is patience. There's love, joy, peace, and patience. Now I gotta be honest with you, there's one that I struggle with, it is patience. Man, I have been a go fast, go get it, let's do it, let's get it done, let's accomplish this goal, and then move on to this one, this did my entire life. Playing sports, man, I was a hurry up, no huddle kind of guy. Boom, boom, boom, let's not waste time. And sometimes that's what we think about being patient means, it means just sitting and being still. And Scripture does tell us to to be still and know that He is the Lord. But what this word patience actually means, it means long-suffering. It doesn't mean just I'm sitting and waiting for something to happen. What it means is I'm going to follow the example that Jesus has for me in the ability to long suffer for the benefit of somebody else. Like if we're in a relationship with somebody who, it's tough to be in a relationship with them, whether it's a family relationship, or work relationship, or church relationship, whatever it may be. Long-suffering means I am going to take it upon myself to endure, to suffer long for the benefit of ultimately of the glory of Jesus. That as I'm patient, as I suffer long in this, Jesus is going to give me the wisdom to be able to bring Him the glory through it. So I want to encourage you today, if your patience is being tested, if it's being tested by your kids, by a boss, by circumstances in life, health issues, financial issues, things that are out of any particular person's control, I want to encourage you today to, through the power of the Holy Spirit, be willing to suffer long. Be willing to endure. Because think about how much Jesus endures in us, how much we've rebelled, and how arrogant and prideful we can be, yet He long suffers for us because He wants us to constantly be in a right relationship with Him. So I want to encourage you today, long suffer for somebody. Long suffer so that they can see Jesus in you. And if I can pray for you in any way, if I can do anything for you to help you in that process, please shoot me a message. Let me know. God bless. Have a great day.
