Earlier today, I saw some friends or some people that knew each other and they saw each other in passing. We were at a grocery store and I said, you know, hey how's it going? Good to see you. You know, what's new? And the person responded, oh you know, same old, same old. I continued on so I'm not sure what they said after that, but I was just thinking about that phrase, right? Oh, same old, same old. And I've said it, you know, a lot of times. Maybe you've said it yourself, right? When someone asks, oh how's it going? Oh, you know, same old, same old. And I feel like typically when we say that, either one, maybe we just don't want to talk to the person. We just want to give an answer and go on about our day. Or maybe it's true. Maybe we feel that life has gotten a bit mundane. That it's just the same old, same old. And I was reminded of something that a pastor friend of mine used to say, that good news never gets old. Good news never gets old. And I was thinking about that, right? That when we find ourselves in times where life feels mundane, that just feels like same old, same old. That we have the good news that we get to remind ourselves of on a daily basis. And that's not the same old, same old. It's the good news. The good news of the gospel. The good news that Jesus loves you. The good news that He died for you. That He cares for you. That He's in your corner. That He's here to give you life to the fullest, as it says in John 10 10. And so I want to encourage you with that today. That if you find yourself in a place in life where things feel a bit mundane, or it feels like same old, same old, let's remind ourselves of the good news that never gets old. And that is that Jesus loves you and He is for you. And so if you find yourself in that place, I'd love to pray with you. Please send me a message. Let me know what's going on in your life, in your world. Why things might feel a bit stagnant. I would love to pray with you and remind each other of the good news of Jesus.
