Hi friends, Amber Ginter here. So, courtesy of PT conferences, at the time that this video is being taken, I am in my lovely classroom. So, if you hear the noise, background, I apologize, that is the heat slash AC that keeps turning on and off, freezing me and then toasting me with super warm temps. So, anyways, I have been here since like 6.50 this morning and kind of just had a little devotional pop through my head when I was trying to think of new topics. And funny thing is, at my school, the internet can be kind of crummy sometimes. And so, standing here typing because I'm tired of sitting. And when I'm trying to load the page, the little wheel just keeps on going. And I don't know, that just really stood out to me that I wonder if sometimes in our relationship with God, if God feels like we are like that little spinning wheel that drives everybody's nuts. And what I mean by that is this, in our walk with Christ, in our relationship with Him, God is very clear that He does not want us as His believers and followers and children of Him to be hot and cold together at the same time, right? We don't want to be lukewarm. God wants us on fire for Him. He doesn't want us turned off. He doesn't want us to be, you know, one day we're there, the next day we're not. One day we're talking to Him, the next day we're not. And that kind of got me thinking about this little spinning wheel where like I'm in the middle of trying to do something and then all of a sudden it just freezes and stops and we're kind of thrown off guard by that and you have to stand here and wait and you're just like, okay, like I'm waiting and you hit the refresh button. I think sometimes in our lives like we need to hit the refresh button. In Revelation 3, chapter 3 verses 14 through 16, this is what the scripture says, to the angel of the church in Laodicea write, These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witnesses, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other. So because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I'm about to spit you out of my mouth. You say I am rich. I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing. But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire so you can become rich and white clothes to wear so you can cover your shameful nakedness and solve to put on your eyes so you can see. That was actually 14 through 18 and I just wanted to encourage you today that if you've been in kind of this on and off again relationship with Christ, let that not be so. Christ would rather you be all for him than to be on and off again lukewarm and that doesn't mean that we can't struggle because you know I personally in my relationship with Christ struggle to communicate with him. I struggle to be honest. I struggle to make changes where I need to but that doesn't mean that you know we're any less uh less than because there's struggles and I think just being willing to admit those things to Christ like yes God I am struggling with you know xyz or I am having a hard time um being on fire for you like I used to. Those are honest prayers that we can confess to him and that is what he asks of us. So I pray that this encourages you today and yeah I hope that um you guys will over time know that Christ loves you so much and that he wants us to be so on fire for him and so never be ashamed of that and never um you know have the fear that you're the only one struggling with always being that way for God because there are a lot of people in the same boat. Love you guys.
