Galatians 5, Paul lays out for us the fruit, again singular, the fruit of the Spirit, what we are to look like as believers and followers of Christ. And he starts at the beginning with love, that as believers and representatives of Christ, the New Testament calls us ambassadors of Christ in this world, the thing that we should be most known for is our love, one for God, and then our love for a neighbor. Jesus said it, Peter repeated it, that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor more than yourself. Now within that, we speak the truth, speak the truth in love. Love isn't compromise, love isn't not telling people the reality of my sin, my forgiveness, because that now leads into the power of Christ over my sin and purchasing my forgiveness. So it's okay to take a stand for Scripture and what Scripture teaches, but Scripture teaches us to speak the truth in love. So I want to encourage you today, find a way to love somebody, find a way to serve somebody, because again, the greatest example that we can give the world of who Jesus is, is love. God is love, and again, we could spend a whole lot of time talking about that, because within love also comes holiness and justice and sacrifice and giving and all the different aspects of what love is laid out for us in Scripture. So the fruit of the Spirit is love, so I want to encourage you today, love somebody the way that Jesus first loved you, so they can see Jesus in you. Listen, God bless, have a great day. If I can do anything for you, please shoot me a message, let me know. Have a good one.
