Hey faith-based friends and family, blessings to you today. I have a quick word of encouragement from Colossians chapter 1. Hear these words. This is Paul speaking. He says, but now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you wholly in his sight without blemish and free from accusation. So because of what Christ accomplished on the cross, we are presented as wholly in the sight of the Lord. Wholly, we're given Christ's righteousness without accusation. Isn't that incredible? It says free from accusation. There's no accusation against us because Christ's righteousness is credited to our account. The Wesleyans have a beautiful tradition and they call it, it's imparted to us, Christ's righteousness. And the Reformers have a beautiful word, imputed to us. Both so beautiful. Romans just says it's credited to our account. But there's no accusation against us because we're clothed in Christ's righteousness. And so if you hear accusations, the enemy is the accuser. That's not the Lord's voice. Now if you have conviction, that's actually like a gift. Conviction doesn't shame though. And conviction actually is the Lord saying, I love you so much and I want what's best for you. This is not in your best interest or mine. And I want to protect you from the consequences of sin. So if it's an accusation, it's not the Lord. Meaning if it's shaming, guilt. But if it's conviction, it's actually, he loves you enough to speak truth. But if you're feeling accusing thoughts, those aren't from the Lord. When we stand before Lord, we are presented holy, pure, and blameless without accusation. That's great news. Just encourage you to enjoy that today. Continue to renew your mind with the truth of God's love, of his power, of his goodness, and just of the truth that we can be completely reconciled through Jesus Christ. Have a great day.
