What's up, beautiful people, thank you so much for tuning in today I have another word that I was just so excited about when I came across it because I think sometimes we could get Frustrated with places that we're at in our life and we don't realize there might be a spiritual entanglement or mindset that we need to alter or change to find victory in certain areas of our life and one thing that keeps coming up in my studies and Different sermons actually that I've been listening to as well is the issue of idols Even just say I'm just like Lord have mercy help us Jesus help us Lord because who doesn't want something sometimes or who doesn't desire a better life or Dream about you know this and that happening, which there's nothing wrong with that There's nothing wrong with desiring certain things It's just when we put it at the forefront of our minds more than we do God more than we Love God. He said love me with your whole heart soul mind and strength The thoughts that are in our heart in our mind out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks What are you talking about all day? If it's if you're thinking and talking about God all day That's what's gonna come out of your mouth or if you're thinking about God all day and you're meditating on his word That's what's gonna come out of your mouth if you're thinking about oh, I want those new shoes all I could think about okay I'm gonna get that money because That's what's gonna come out of your mouth if you're thinking about oh, man I just got to get that degree because that's what's gonna come out of your mouth and there are points in our life where We do have to have this ultra focus like getting our degrees and stuff Or there's a shift like if you're having a baby or if you're moving to another house or starting a new job There's shifts in life where yes It takes some of our attention But overall how we act and react and how we wake up in the morning to process through the day That's what's gonna come out of our mouth. That's gonna be our idol. That's gonna be what we meditate on the most Are there actual idols? figurines or other things that we have in our lives that we need to get rid of or Are there idols in our hearts where we meditate on certain things or people or situations more than we do God So I wanted to read Ezekiel 14 Verse 1 through 3 this was just so heavy on my heart and God had me reading this over and over for a few days Just to get it in my heart of how important it is for us to check our hearts and our minds because I'm just like I was really obsessing over this and that like and again, there's nothing wrong with having desires. It's just the balance of Lord, I'm hungrier for you and to do your will and to show you that I love you not to not to earn salvation But just show you I love you and I want I want to please you as much as I can in this lifetime We're gonna get it wrong We're gonna mess up and fail But he wants to see is he the idol of our heart or is he at the forefront? I should say of our heart and mind. Um, so Ezekiel 14 verse 1 through 3 says now some of the elders of Israel So they're in their rulership, you know or they're they're kind of rulers and they have power some of the elders of Israel came to me to Ezekiel and Sat before me and the word of the Lord came to me saying son of man these men have set up in their Set up their idols in their hearts and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity Should I let myself be inquired of them at all? Acquired of at all by them same thing. Should I let myself be inquired of at all by them? In other words God is just like y'all have told me and shown me Who you want to serve this day y'all you guys have shown me that I'm not at the forefront of your mind and heart What why would I even let you come to me and ask me for anything if you want to have two gods? he said choose you this day whom you will serve and There's there's a shifting happening where God's like I want to see some people that are serious Not that we got to get it perfectly, right But are there some idols that we need him to help us? Recognize and that we need to renounce in this season. I hope that blesses you I know that's kind of a command thing, but it was heavy on my heart to like shoot. I have so many things on you Let go help me God but Just let's meditate on that where Lord. How can I give you my all in this season?
