I Am What I Am: Moses and Trusting in God's Sovereign Identity

Moses learned that God's presence and identity were not confined to earthly expectations. God's declaration of "I am who I am" signified His eternal, unchanging, and self-existent nature. This realization is crucial for believers when called to daunting tasks, reassuring them of God's unyielding presence and power. Moses' interaction with the burning bush signifies the need for humility in God's service. Like the missionaries who learned to depend not on their self-sufficiency but on God's presence, Moses had to shed his doubts and insecurities to embrace God's call. God's assurance of "I will be with you" (Exodus 3:12) echoes throughout Scripture as a reminder that our strength lies not in ourselves but in God's enduring presence. Moses' mission to lead the Israelites out of Egypt was fraught with challenges and delays, teaching the value of patient perseverance. Believers today can learn from Moses' experience that God's timing often requires steadfast faith and patience, even when immediate results are not visible. Moses had to speak boldly to Pharaoh, a task that required immense courage. Similarly, believers are called to boldness, trusting in God's presence for the courage to speak His truth. The story of Moses encourages Christians to stand firm and speak boldly about their faith, trusting in the God who declares, "I am what I am." The narrative of Moses and the burning bush invites believers to trust in the God who is self-existent, eternal, and unchanging. It encourages embracing humility, patient perseverance, and boldness, grounded in the assurance of God's omnipresent and sovereign identity. This trust enables believers to accomplish great things for God's glory, echoing the enduring truth that with God, all things are possible. Today remember who you serve, who you follow, who saved you, the creator of heavens and earth-> sent you to do great things as well.
