Hey everyone, I'm back. My name is Tonya Lee Carey and this is Black Friday. As you can see, I'm not wearing all black, but this season now, which is one of my favorite holidays, Christmas, we wear red and black, we wear red, we wear white, we wear green, and many people really don't give a hoot on what color they wear. The bottom line is that, really, what is the reason for this season? It's not gonna be real serious today. I try not to be too little light-hearted, but is it all about shopping and giving gifts only? No, no. It is nice to receive, but it's even better to give, and as yesterday was Thanksgiving, I had my mom with me, and if you haven't seen that little short one minute plus video, you got to check it out. That's kind of legacy kind of stuff. My mom turning, going on 88, and I'm just was blessed to have her with me. Is it all about lights? I love Christmas lights, mostly on the inside, and just a reflection of the light of the Lord from the inside out, and it just kind of helps with the atmosphere, and really the reason for this season is all about the symbolism of the birth of Christ, and he was born to die for us, and I want to give a short testimony real quick of my neighbor Mary Ellen. Every year I would bake cookies and brownies, and I would give to my neighbors, and it seemed like it was just them taking, and me not receiving anything. It's nice to receive every now and then. My thank you is always nice, and sometimes you may not even get that, but one year this 90 plus year old woman, four foot ten, four nine, she don't let nobody in her house. She looks through the window with binoculars, and one Christmas holiday, I mean this was a breakthrough. This neighbor walked across the street, knocked on my door, stepped inside my house, and gave me the greatest gift ever. It was a can of pie filling, and two apples that had some rotten spots on it, and a Christmas card. My name was not spelled right, but I did not care. This woman coming across the street, over to my home, up in my house, that was a breakthrough Christmas. I'm not even sure what else I received that year, but I will not ever forget Miss Mary Ellen. She's gone on to be with the Lord now, and truly, truly, we have to be that light when nobody else is, and it is better to give to them receiving, because God so loved the world. John 3 16, we most of us all know, he gave his only son, and that was Jesus. Until next time, my name is Tonya Lee Carey. I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it. Peace!
