Good morning we are back for our morning prayer and I apologize for the disruption in our announced schedule I said I'd be doing this every morning but as you know from the couple of videos I was on call at a regional medical center here last week quite a bit and things got pretty hectic right there and so our the schedule had to be rearranged but I'm back today not at 6 a.m. but we are here and we're going to finish up some chapter 2 and verses 10 11 and 12 so let's get right to this and I'm going to read these verses now therefore be wise O Kings be instructed you judges of the earth serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling kiss the son lest he be angry and you perish in the way when his wrath is kindled but a little blessed are those all those who put their trust in him Heavenly Father we know that again all things are in your hands and in your control and Lord we must not shy away from declaring to kings declaring to those in leadership declaring to those who have authority on this earth all authority given to them comes from you Lord God and we must not shy away we must not be afraid to speak the truth of the scripture to those in leadership Lord many folks would cry well you're trying to push the Bible upon us you're trying to push the Christian nationalism or something of that sort but Lord God you say here that the Kings should be wise that they should be instructed and they should serve you with fear Lord God there's never a matter of no law it's always a matter of whose law and so we recognize our God that your word your scripture your laws are perfect and that our job is to understand how they apply in our culture understand how we can instruct these Kings these leaders and demand that they adhere to the truth of your word one thing that comes to mind Lord God we must stand for life we must stand for the the unborn Lord God and be 100% pro-life and Lord that that truth of protecting the unborn that truth of protecting all human life is a scriptural as a biblical as a godly principle it doesn't just come out of thin air and so we Lord God pray that we can have a role in instructing leaders that we can express the truth we can do that through word and do that through deed Lord God we pray that leadership in this nation and around the world would serve you Lord God they would look to you for all truth they would look to you for the only way to salvation Lord God Lord we ask that they would bow the knee and as we mentioned before Heavenly Father this text that we're reading this text that is guiding our prayer this morning is talking about this age not something after the second coming of Jesus Christ because it is in this age that nations exist it is in this age that nations will be judged for their lack of compliance with your word Lord God so we pray that the leadership around the world in our nation especially Lord God we pray that our leaders at the national the state and the local levels will look to you Lord God for truth that Lord you will bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ they would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and that they would recognize that there is a price to pay for ignoring God's ways ignoring the things that you teach but yet this this passage ends by saying blessed are all those who put their trust in him Lord we put our trust in you today we trust Lord God that on this day of Thanksgiving on this day that we celebrate the blessings that you've given us we recognize that all those things come from your hand and we pray that you'll wash over us this day guide us and direct us we ask and we pray this in Jesus name Amen
