Sometimes we give things more power than we should to influence us... (at least I do). Let's bring our eyes back to the love that surpasses all understanding. (Ephesians 3:14-21)

Hey faith-based friends and family, blessings to you today. Just want to give a quick encouragement. I was thinking back to the time when I lived in Florida. My wife and I just got married. We moved to Florida. We had the privilege of serving in a wonderful church there for about eight years. And our main grocery store in Florida was Publix. Well, the Publix that we went to, there are a couple in town, had these giant scales, like for a human to stand on, as soon as you step in the store where you got your cart. And we had this other young family that were our closest friends. And I remember going to the Publix. We're making an ice cream run, double date. And as I stepped on the scale, I couldn't believe how much I weighed. I mean, it was just crazy. Blew my mind. It was probably 40, 50 pounds more than I expected. What I didn't realize is that my best buddy was stepping on the scale behind me where I couldn't see. And he was pushing it down. I say that to say it was a pretty funny encounter. We got a good laugh out of it. But sometimes things feel so much heavier than they actually are. They feel weightier. And I want to encourage just to have a proper perspective. I say that this morning, having gotten grumpy with my very sweet, kind, tenderhearted daughter. And I made things that were minor inconveniences out to be big deals. And of course, I've apologized on that. But just to be mindful of our perspective, that we don't give things too much weight. I just encourage you today, go to Ephesians 3 and read Paul's prayers to the church at Ephesus. Really, this letter was actually originally meant to be a circular letter, meaning it was meant to be distributed around. So it's a prayer for us to Ephesians 3. And I just pray that Lord would give you power to see the depth, the richness, the beauty of his love, and he would fill you to fullness. And it's a love that surpasses all knowledge. That's what the prayer says. Blessings to you today.
