Faithbase

Now faith is a confidence in what we hope for, an assurance of what we cannot see. You might recognize this from Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1, and we'll step back into this verse tomorrow, but I want to pause for a moment because today is Black Friday, and then it's Cyber Saturday or Monday and then Small Business Tuesday and giving whatever day, and days filled with trying to find the right gifts for the right people and maybe some running around and some parties and trying to figure out vacation time and concerts for your kids and whatever this season brings for you. There's a lot going on. It is hectic and busy and very full. Sometimes we can get lost in these seasons, right? But I want to encourage you to take a deep breath, take a step back, and remember that we have a hope beyond what we can see. We can put our trust in the future of what Christ holds for us. We don't want to get lost in this moment. We don't want to forget that we have a faith that calls us to live differently, to live for a life that is eternal and not just here in the present. Both are important because the season of Advent is all about recognizing God with us, and we have an incredible future waiting for us, and we can have faith in this and hope and confidence. Don't get lost in this season, friends. Find that space to step back and consider what we put our confidence in. God bless.
