Well, hey friends, I was unloading the dishwasher, putting the clean ones up and the dirty ones in. And I was reminded of Romans chapter 12 in verse 1. I wanted to share it with you because in this verse, the Apostle Paul encourages us to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. And I wanted to take a moment and dive into the significance of that verse and how it can inspire us in our daily lives. You know, life oftentimes, and we've talked about this several times in these videos, it presents us with challenges and distractions that can hinder our spiritual growth. However, Romans chapter 12 in verse 1 reminds us that we have the power to overcome these obstacles by surrendering ourselves to God. And when we offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, we commit to living a life that is set apart for Him. It is a conscious decision to prioritize our spiritual well-being and allowing God to guide our thoughts and our actions and our desires. Now, why am I sharing that with you while I'm doing the dishes? Because I think that's actually a pretty good example. If you look at Romans chapter 12 in verse 1, and you just think through this simple household chore, right, of doing the dishes, it may seem mundane, but it can teach us a profound lesson. Because when we approach this task or we approach other tasks like it with the intention of offering it to God, it becomes something else. It becomes an act of worship. As we scrub the dirt and the grime away, we can meditate on how God cleanses us and purifies our hearts. Just as we diligently, with the help of a dishwasher, clean the dishes, you know, we also need to seek after His righteousness and His holiness as He helps to purify our lives. Romans chapter 12 and verse 1 says this, Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's manifold mercies, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship. That verse is a great reminder that our lives should be an expression of gratitude for the mercy and grace that God has shown us, that we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, that we show love and devotion to Him, even in the smallest and most mundane tasks. I hope that encourages your spirit this morning. I hope that sets a different course on the things that you do, realizing that they are acts of worship and we are living sacrifices. And the call is to daily surrender and to have a genuine desire to align our lives with God's will so that we can experience the joy and the fulfillment that comes from living a life that is devoted to Him. May Romans chapter 12 and verse 1 inspire us to offer ourselves wholly to God, seeking His guidance, allowing Him to transform us from the inside out. So go through the rest of your day, go through the rest of your week and embrace the call to be a living sacrifice and bring glory to God in all that we do. Be great and be blessed today.
