I have a four-and-a-half-year-old daughter who loves to interrupt like crazy, like no one's business. And so when I think about my role as a dad and the idea of teaching patience, you can't teach something that you've never gone through, right? You can't lead people where you've never been. And so it's always hilarious to me to either preach about patience or to make videos about it because I know that that's typically going to come with an opportunity to live it out. So I shared this video with you a little bit trepidatiously because I don't want to have to walk through another episode of that. But one of the things that I've been loving in this season is being able to help my daughter learn these boundaries around when it's okay to chime in, when we need to ask for permission to talk, when we can't interrupt, and be able to help her see and value and understand the notion of being patient. If a fruit of the Spirit is patience, then this is something that we can begin cultivating in our lives no matter what age we are. Are you somebody who struggles with it?
