Hey, faith-based friends and family, blessings to you today. Hope you're doing great. Hey, I just want to give an encouragement today about what are you headed toward? What are you aiming at? What is your target? What are you working toward? What are you pursuing? A friend explained this to me once and I didn't understand until I read it, but it's the difference between Magnetic North and True North. So True North is a fixed point on the globe, whereas Magnetic North is different. Magnetic North isn't the north that your compass would point to, right? But it's based on the magnetic fields within the Earth's core and these these fields can actually change the magnetic field, so it's not completely accurate. So sometimes we think we're aiming toward the right thing and we're just a little bit off. I remember there's a season in my life where I worked really hard as a discipleship pastor and I had accomplished this very grandiose goal and I was patting myself on the back, you know, kind of like one of these things, good job, way to go. And I had worked hard, I had been diligent, I had been strategic, but I felt the Lord lovingly and tenderly said, well, I'm pleased with you and I love you, but what if instead of trying to build a program, you tried to build a kingdom, advance the kingdom? And I paused for a moment and I realized that I was aiming at something too small. Of course, the Lord uses programs in a great way, they can be great, but there's something different about building the kingdom as opposed to simply building a program or even building a church. So I just invite you, as you process your own heart, what are you fixed on? What's your mind fixate on? What are you drawn to? I just want to encourage you to renew your mind with the truth, but just to draw your eyes back to the Lord. Hebrews 12 tells us to fix our eyes on the Lord. He's inviting us to fix our eyes on that which is most beautiful and that which matters most. It's a beautiful invitation. I encourage you just to examine your heart and receive the invitation to fix your eyes on the one who loves you more than you could imagine. Blessings to you today.
