Hi friends, Amber Ginter here, just coming to you with another devotional. So today I actually want to talk about one of my favorite things, and one of my favorite things in the world is dance. So I've danced since I was three years old. I started recreational with just tap, jazz, ballet, that glowed in the dark. It was kind of like the Rocket style of dance. Then when I got older, I decided to delve into the realm of competition and more competitive styles of dance, and so I expanded to some acro, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, all the things. And so I really enjoyed that. By the time I got to college, I decided to lead my own dance team. When I graduated, I led a young adult group, and now today my husband and I are blessed with the opportunity to dance on our church dance team, as well as we run our own adult dance ministry team called Light in the Darkness Adult Dance Company. With all that being said, one of the funny things I find about dance is that when people find out that I dance, if I were to say go to a social outing with dancing, just like free dancing, people expect me to know how to dance. And I don't. The funny thing is, unless I have choreography, unless I have the steps in my head, I don't know how to just break it down, I don't know how to just freestyle and have fun with dance. I have to have a routine. And in an odd sense, this made me think of 2 Timothy 4, 2 through 5, and the New International Version says, Preach the word, be prepared in season and out of season, correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and careful instruction, for the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Now that might sound kind of odd for why I would think about that with dance, but when I think about me and these social interactions where I'm not able to come up with a dance on the spot, I wasn't ready in season when I was dancing, you know, 20-30 hours a week, and I also wasn't really ready out of season, 20-30-40 hours a week, so regardless of my amount of dance, I did not know how to just freestyle it. I don't know why my camera keeps doing that, I apologize. And just freestyle it, and so it's like, oh gosh, I need to be ready in and out of season, not only with dance, but with my spiritual life, and so I just want to encourage you today, no matter what you're walking through, remember that God equips those he calls, it isn't just that we have to already know the dance moves, we don't have to already know exactly what we're going to say when we're going to say it, but God equips us as he calls us and he calls all of us to share the gospel, so be encouraged today, if you're dancing or you're trying to share the gospel, that God is going to help you be prepared both in and out of season, and we can do that by prayer, by reading scripture, by asking him just in a simple way is how he's going to move in our lives. So just your little nugget for today, I love you guys, have a great day.
