Good morning everybody. Now as we actually get into the Lord's Prayer, Jesus says in verse 9, he says, pray then in this way, our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name. The word hallowed just simply means holy. It means separate. It means sinless. It means perfect. It means all-loving. That is what God is, is holy. The angels are circling. At this moment, as you're watching this video, there are angels circling the throne of God saying holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come. And what Jesus is teaching us right here is prayer doesn't begin with I, with me. I need, I want, I feel, me, me, me. So much of religion is based on me and I. But prayer needs to be based on you. You are holy. You are great. Every time that I pray in our church, I always try to begin with thanking God for his grace and his mercy. Now I'm not perfect. I don't do it every time. That's the reason I have to thank him for grace and mercy because I'm not perfect. But I try to set the example for my people that our time of prayer, prayer begins with praise. Just think of it that way. Prayer begins with praise. And for me, the thing I praise him most about is how he's forgiven me. The grace that he's given me, the mercy that he's given me. And again, that's not about me, it's about him. Because I don't deserve it. There's nothing I can do to compel him to make him do those things. He did it simply because he loves me and I needed rescue from my sin. So if you're struggling with, I don't even know how to begin to pray, begin with praise. Hallowed holy is your name. I have everything I have because of you. So I'd encourage you this morning, spend some time in prayer. Begin with praise. Begin with thanking him for who he is and what he's done in your life. And then that can lead into the other aspects of prayer that we'll get into in future videos. Listen, God bless. Have a great day. If I can do anything for you, shoot me a message and let me know. Have a good one.
