Can you be a Christian and have doubts, or can you have doubts as a Christian? As a mental health counselor, Christian counselor, I actually get asked that question more often than not. And it doesn't exactly come off that way, but people are confused to know, can they have these type of struggles that they're going through in their life and still believe in God in such a way with faith? And I tell them, of course you can. In fact, God meets you exactly where you are at in your faith. God meets you exactly where you are at in your journey and in your life and your struggles and your highs and your lows. There's a story in the book of Mark where a man approaches Jesus asking him to intervene on a family member's behalf to heal them. And Jesus then says, anything is possible for the one who believes. And the man cries out telling to Jesus, I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief. So which one is it? So did he believe or did he not? Sounds kind of like double-minded or doubtless. I referred a lot to that story in the Bible when answering the question, can I be a Christian and still have doubts? And then the answer is yes. That's how that man still approached Jesus and asked him, can you please help? He still came with not just the struggle that he was going with, with not just of the family member's pain and that needs healing, but he also came with knowing that, listen, you're the one that can make this happen. I'm the one that I'm just unsure if it's going to happen. There's a doubt. Now, whether you have a doubt about God or whether you have a doubt about yourself receiving from God, I just want to share these last words with you. Doubt is just the stage for God to perform. Bring him your worries, bring him your fears, and you're going to see how he is truly who he says he is. God bless.
