Good morning we're back again thinking about the Bible and thinking about salvation and we're gonna look at verse 11 of chapter 5 in the book of Romans and not only that says Paul but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have now received the reconciliation and the New Living Translation says so now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God so this is kind of a summation of what Paul has said thus far and when we are talking about salvation we're thinking about salvation what this brings to mind is the I guess you'd say the end result or the condition that we find ourselves in when we are saved by Jesus Christ and that is to be a in a wonderful relationship we can rejoice in that that we are now in this relationship with God Almighty where we are no longer at enmity but we are in friendly relationship with him so what that does is bring a whole new reality to life if you're apart from God you ultimately have no reason for life you have no purpose you have no hope any philosophy that is or any ideology that that you replace Christianity with or that you use to hold Christianity and hold the truth of the Bible at arm's length will ultimately leave you in despair because there is no real real hope there's no purpose that they all eventually come down to hopelessness and meaninglessness in life but we can rejoice because we have this relationship with God and all of a sudden life makes sense if you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ if you're in this relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ it now makes sense that you are put here on earth in order to bring glory to God and we bring glory to God by utilizing the things that God has placed in us we are we are a unique creation each one of us a unique creation of God and he gives us talents and abilities he gifts us supernaturally by the power of the Holy Spirit to do things that bring him glory and bring benefit to ourselves yes and to our fellow human beings so and I'm kind of getting off a little bit on the talking about salvation because now I'm talking more about what happens or what what the the benefits of that salvation might be nothing wrong with that so I want to bring my folks back next episode we're actually going to be looking at back to more specifically what it is that we are to do how do we come to this saving knowledge of Jesus Christ how do we come to this relationship we are now where we are now friends with God in Jesus Christ so we'll come back to that tomorrow and if you want to be thinking about salvation today think about the wonderful blessing that you have in Jesus Christ we're now in the Lord Jesus Christ your life has meaning purpose hope and you can honestly say I know why I've been placed here on the earth I've been placed here to serve the Lord God to find joy in using what he's given me to bring him glory and to benefit my fellow human beings so God bless you we'll see you again tomorrow
