Greetings and salutations. Another time for a devotion and it's a privilege to really be here with you today. As we come together today, I'd like to encourage you from the school of thought. Trust in God with all your heart. Trust in God with all your heart. And what better scripture than Proverbs 3, 5 to encourage us. It says, trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledge him and he'll direct your path. For a brief devotional today, I would like to say to you, whatever you find yourself going through. Remember that as long as you trust in God with all your heart, as long as you believe in him, as long as you look to him, there's nothing too hard for you to accomplish. We are truly living in a time in which there are many words of encouragement to tell us to trust in various things. Trust in your intellect, trust in your skills and your ability academically, trust in the knowledge that you have on how to do this or how to do that. But for this brief devotional, I'm encouraging you trust in God. And you know, when you trust in God with all your heart, there's nothing too hard for you. You could be able to say to yourself, no matter how tough it gets in the roads or challenging the roads are, no matter how many bins in the roads and how many forks in the road, you can navigate your way through because you have the great navigator, the one who is able to take you from where you are to where you need to be. There's nothing too hard for God. Believe in him. Trust in him. And whatever you do, when you find yourself going through those tough times and those rough times and you find yourself where the rivers of water are turbulence in your life, situationally, emotionally, psychologically, believe this one thing that if you can count it all joy as you fall into diverse temptation, knowing that it is God. Mary's baby, the bright and morning star, the lily of the valley, your alpha and omega that will be there to sustain you to help you. You will find that there is resiliency, renewal and renewal, regeneration, revelation. When you begin to find yourself in the midst of these challenging times, go to the word, the word of God. Allow it to be your rock. Allow it to be your comfort. Allow it to be your guide. When all else fails, remember this one thing that God will never fail you. He has predestined you for greatness. You are somebody who God has already equipped with all that you need to have to do all that he has called you to do. It might seem sometime that that's not true. It might seem that you're stumbling and bumbling. But let me tell you something. God is notorious for taking stumbling blocks and making them building blocks so that we can step up to heights, new heights and new depths in the midst of when you are trouble. And you're stuck. Remember, you're not stuck. You might be idling there for a moment in time, but there's a lesson to be learned. There's a revelatory reality to be experienced. There is knowledge to be gained. That's why you're there. You're not stuck. You're holding in position under the auspices of standing still because, you know, you're going to see the salvation of the Lord. And so today, as we think about our. Devotion, trust in God with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding and know that God will make it a way out of no way. You know, I'm here today celebrating my son's promotion to 06. And I just would like to have him join in with me just for a moment. You can see Chaplain John Smith 06. God bless you. Chaplain Jordan, he knocked it out of the park here, just like he laid those across the cross in the captain bars on my desk years ago. He laid it on my hat today and I thank God for him. And so today is a special devotion for faith based ministry because we're getting to share in his elevation to the rank of 06. I've had the privilege to be a part of his promotion from 0 4 to 5. He six had the privilege of being able to provide the oath of office and his promotion into the chaplaincy. And now through the ranks, he's elevated from captain to major major to lieutenant colonel and colonel is now the rank he holds. And for those of you that are not militaristically inclined, it's a significant achievement. Only two percent of the officers in the chaplain corps make it to the rank of 06 full bird colonel. And so we're so very proud of him and so very proud that Jesus made it possible. But it's because John learned a long time ago to trust in the Lord with all his heart, lean not on his own understanding, but in all his ways, acknowledge him. And if you will take that to heart, you can be elevated from wherever you are because he started out as a E1 private. But look what God has done now. And the same God that did it for him will do it for you. So get ready, get ready, get ready. You're next in line for a miracle. God is taking this time to share this experience with you, for you to say you're more than a conqueror. Make up your mind and you can accomplish anything. Have a super fantastic day. This is Dr. J.
