Greetings, and we're so happy to have you back for another Dr. J's thoughts and motivational and inspirational moments. Truly we're very happy about the opportunity to come and talk with you today about a very important topic, a topic that truly resonates with my heart, and I trust it will resonate with yours as well. It's entitled, Struggling with the Brokenness of Failure, Struggling with the Brokenness of Failure. I think you would agree with me that in the midst of failure, it's not what you know, but what you do consistently that shapes your destiny and your future success. And as we look at our scripture reading that's going to come from Psalms 18 from the NIV version, it says, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. And I want to just pause there and say to those of you that might be experiencing any level of brokenness, any level of confusion, any level of cognitive dissonance to where you're struggling internally and questioning where is God when it hurts? Well, I would like to say to you that God is an ever-present God and where you are, he is. And the thing that we have to do is hear where the scripture says, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. God's word is admonishing us to know that God is where you are if you're experiencing anything in life, but especially pain and discomfort. On my growth journey, I have been embracing the reality that failure is not the end, but the beginning of one's comeback story. I truly believe that. That failure is not the end, but the beginning of one's comeback story. But in the midst of going through so many different things as we deal with failure, it's oftentimes felt that it's all over. There's nothing I can do. I'm a failure. No, the situation you're in, you might be experiencing failure, but you're not a failure. You are a purpose-driven, spiritually-directed man or woman of God who have been chosen by him to live life and to live it more abundantly. You are not a failure. The circumstances that you find yourself might lead to failing circumstances. I won't deny that, but you're not a failure. It is through perseverance and unwavering determination that we rise above our setbacks and pave the way for remarkable comebacks. To facilitate that reality for you and I, I've come up with some steps that I'd like you to go today to really check out in our devotion writing. Step one says embrace the power of consistency. Step two, learn and grow from failure. Failure is not the final destination, but a stepping stone towards growth. Step three, trust in divine timing. In times like these, in times of uncertainty, have faith that there is a higher plan unfolding and God's got your back and he's working everything out for your good. Step four, seek opportunities for comeback. View setback as opportunities for a triumphant comeback. Step five, harness the power of unity. Together, everyone achieves more. Realize that there are times when you're going to, in order to rise above the obstacles, you're going to need to ask for help and have the unity of the people, the unity of God's people to be there to support you. Harness the power of unity. Don't be too proud to say, I need some help. Today, my brothers and sisters, remember that failure do not define you. Failure do not define you. It is your unwavering consistency, resilience, and trust in divine timing that shapes your destiny. Embrace your comeback story with faith, knowing that God will make a way. He's made a way each and every day to bring you from where you are to where he wants you to be. He's made a way to bring you from wherever you've been to now. Trust God. He will take you all the way. It's truly been a pleasure being here with you today. I trust that you will continue to have a blessed and most amazing day. Remember, God's not finished blessing you.
