Hello, and welcome back once again. We certainly have looked forward to us having this time together. Look forward to another Dr. J's thoughts, time for meditation and devotion. Looking forward to sharing this very positive and challenging topic, cultivating gratitude on your spiritual journey. You know, I have found this topic to be truly a blessing because I believe an attitude of gratitude can truly give us the latitude to be successful in whatever we endeavor to do. Our scripture comes from First Thessalonians 5 and 18 NIV version, and it says give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Give thanks in all circumstances. I think I hear within that God saying again, as he has in his word, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations, count it all joy when you're going through and you're not sure what you're going to count it all joy when you're not exactly feeling like you're a winner count it all joy when you feel like you are struggling with whatever it is that you know that you need to do count it all joy and understanding that when you feel like you are not cutting the mustard that you are probably being set up for a level of greatness that's yet to be told and yet to be uncovered and discovered because it's very within the treasure chest of your tomorrows. You see in the hustle and bustle of our daily life. It's easy to overlook the simple and yet profound practice of gratitude when you can truly count it all joy when you can truly maintain an attitude of gratitude and cultivate that reality as a part of your spiritual journey. It's hard for anything and anyone to get you down. Why because you're well assured that the same Jesus that began the work in you is going to enable you to succeed because he's already predestined for your greatness in your success. So you're not working from a point of failure. You're working from a point of victory. Whatever God directs you into and however, you go into that which you're going into with a blessed assurance that God is guiding you. He is more than able to make you a conqueror in the midst of the adversity. It doesn't say it's not going to be hard. We often find ourselves dwelling on our challenges striving for more and forgetting to appreciate the blessings that surrounds us today. Think about the reality of where God has brought you from already. He's brought you from a mighty long way and you have many accomplishments to be able to affirm the fact that when you kept a positive attitude when you were able to count it all joy when you allowed the gratitude to give you the attitude that says I'm more than a conqueror and no matter even if I'm on my knees because I've stumbled and fall. It's a learning place a place for transformation revelation and education. It's a new beginning not the end but a new beginning and not a time for where we can stop and pause for the cause and say Lord. I'm going to take this as an opportunity to learn not be negative but to grow from it, you know gratitude is more than just saying thank you for the good things that comes our way. It's a profound shift in perspective. And when you can make that shift in as a part of your spiritual journey, when you see yourself going down that road of uncertainty, you see yourself going down that road of ambiguity. You see yourself going through that road down that road of frustration. You see yourself going down that road of where you're feeling like you just can't make it remember. Don't let that be the end of the story. Just remember that's the beginning of your comeback story as long as you can say that I'm going to take this and I'm not going to let it just be a stumbling block. I'm going to turn it into a building block and I'm going to step up to higher heights and deeper depths. I'm going to allow gratitude to be more than just an emotional burst of energy that says I'm doing good. No, it's when you can look within yourself and see that the Holy Spirit that's in you is been placed there to reaffirm and to guide you, to strengthen you, to give you. It says in the Bible that it is there to guide you into all truth. You see what I'm sharing with you is the truth. You can make it. What I'm sharing with you is the truth. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. What I'm sharing with you is the truth that there is nothing that you cannot do. Cultivate the gratitude on your spiritual journey. Learn to be able to see the beauty in the midst of the beast and press your way in spite of because of you learn the importance of counting it all joy and know this one thing that the God who has started a perfect work in you will finish it. Now, let's look at the steps that we would look at that you will see and get more information on as you read today's devotion. Number one, fostering humility. You're going to enjoy reading that not long but important. Number two, deepening connections. Number three, transforming challenges. Number four, cultivating presence.
