Hey everyone, my name is Josh Carman, I'm a pastor of 15 years who has recently stepped out of the ministry to pursue content creation full-time, and in this season of life, one of the things that I've really been wrestling with is this idea of perfection. You see, when I was a minister, there was always this understanding that if we did our best, God would fill in the rest, right? And I have tried so hard to take that with me into content creation as I've been trying to think of things and create and collaborate to make stuff that is meaningful and is well thought out, and what I have found is that sometimes perfection can be the enemy of complete, right? If I am constantly just stuck on an idea or just perseverating over this thing instead of just actually putting it out there, what I'm doing is I'm actually robbing people of the chance to hear the Holy Spirit work in their life, and so I just want to make a brief encouragement for you today that if you find yourself kind of in the perfectionist trap, two things I want you to leave here with. One, you're never going to be perfect, right? God tells us this, we know this, if you've lived for five minutes, you understand this. Two, perfection is the enemy of complete, and that can be a huge deal when you need to put a piece of content out or when you need to preach a message or when you need to sit and talk with a friend or whatever it is. There might be a specific thing that the Holy Spirit wants you to do, and if we are never willing to take those steps unless they're complete, then we might be missing out on being able to bless someone's life and be blessed in return. Have a great day. As always, my DMs are open. If I can pray for you, if there's anything that you need, if there's any content that you would love to explore, let me know and we'll do it together. Have a good one.
