Hello and welcome back for another day's devotion, or for some, as we commonly know it, Dr. J's thoughts. Today's Dr. J's thoughts is entitled, Guiding Change and Achieving Success. Guiding Change and Achieving Success, a Faith Factor Approach. Our scripture reading is entitled from the NIV version, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Or really it says, I can do all things through him who gives me strength. And I want you to know that that's what God is all about, strengthening you for the journey so that you can have life and have it more abundantly. In today's dynamic business landscape, embracing change and overcoming fear with faith is critical for staying competitive while trusting God with all our hearts, all our minds and all our souls. Whether this devotional is addressing you in a personal manner or in a business setting or from a business manner, I want you to hear me say that your success is guided by the authority that is given to you in Jesus. As a born again believer, child of God, your ability to understand that God is working miracles for you is truly powerful. When you can understand that as a leader, you play a pivotal role in driving transformation within your organization, but you have that same level of responsibility in your personal life. And I'm going to talk with you briefly just to give you a summary of what's in title or what's in store for you today as you read today's devotional. As you know, my goal is to whet your appetite, to give you a cursory overview, and then hopefully you'll go and read today's devotional and feel free to share with me what your feelings are in relationship to it. But I'm going to offer you a step-by-step guide of how to inspire and implement change and deal with change and to allow change to be a success for you. First of all, step one, define a clear vision. Step two, communicate the rationale behind why you're doing what you're doing. Step three, implement incrementally the changes that you desire to have. Now remember this, no one likes change, but a wet baby. So change is a tough thing all by itself to have to deal with. So make sure you prepare yourself for it. And if you're working this from a business perspective, make sure you prepare those who you are privileged to supervise or those who are employees. Make sure that you're taking the necessary steps to prepare them for that change and gradually ensure that you're involving all members that this is impacting or affecting. If it affects them, include them and help them to get vested in what you are doing. The other thing is, as you're looking at this particular topic, you want to ensure you keep it real with them. Don't make promises that you can't keep and don't offer up realities covertly or overtly that are not real. Practice a level of authenticity so that it's real in whatever you're doing. Even as you might, and you're going to see in this devotional, I talk about embrace authentic failure. Even if you're failing and you feel like your toe up from the floor, be real about it. It's a turning point. It's not the end. It's time for opportunity for growth and development at a new level. It's not the end. It's a time of learning new principles to apply within your life and in the life of that business. It's not the end. Maintain a positive outlook. You're going to see that that's step four. Maintain a positive outlook. Cultivate a positive mindset, especially in these challenging situations where you're wondering what you should do and how you should do it and why you're doing what you're doing, but you're determined that you need to take these steps to make these changes. Be positive. Keep an attitude of gratitude that gives you the latitude to be successful in whatever you're doing. Trust divine guidance. Trust God. Trust God. Proverbs 3, 5, and 6 tells us, trust God with all our hearts. Lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways, acknowledge him and he will direct our path. Listen, can't nobody do you like Jesus. Can't nobody do you like the Lord. If anyone has your best interest, if anyone has your back, it's J-E-S-U-S. What's his name? You got it. Jesus. You know, it's been a pleasure being here with you today and I'm hoping to hear from you as you read today's devotion and it is a blessing to your soul and gives you the opportunity to have the things that I've shared illuminated at another level, but until I hear from you again and we're together again, remember God's not finished blessing you.
