Greetings and salutations. It's a pleasure to come back and to share with you on another day for devotion, meditation, and a time to share the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As you can see, I'm sitting here in my automobile and I decided this would be a great time to share about navigating. And since today's devotion is entitled Navigating Change Embracing Adversity, A Guide to Success, then I thought what better place to share than behind the steering wheel of an automobile. And today I'm actually speaking with you from the great state of Washington. And so I'm happy to share that with you. And let's start with a moment of prayer. Gracious God, we thank you for this opportunity to look to you, the author and finisher of our faith. We thank you, O God, for your many manifolds of blessings and how you have made ways out of no way and how you've constantly, O God, been a source for us to be able to have peace and to have it more abundantly. Now, God, we thank you and we praise you and we magnify you for your goodness. In Jesus name. Amen. As you know, that when we are doing the Dr. J. Thoughts, I hope, and it is our intent that you would be able to go and to read the full devotion. So our objective is never to give it to you in its entirety, but just enough to whet your appetite. And so today, remember, we are working with the thought, navigating change, embracing adversity, a guide to success and growth. Isaiah 43 verse 2, coming from the NIV version, is our passage of scripture. And it says, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you. And when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The flames will not set you ablaze. I think you're going to find within this devotion that we're talking about being able to navigate through turbulent time periods, through turbulent waters, through turbulent, turbulent challenges in life. Imagine if you're standing at the edge of a turbulent river, and the only way to reach the destination is by crossing it. The current are strong, and the waters are treacherous. You can choose to turn back or you can summon the courage to say, I'm going to wade through the challenge that lie ahead to make it to the other side. The journey filled with change and adversity is a path many of us have tried in time past and finding success and growth on the other side is the reward for pressing your way through to the other side. And so as we talk about navigating change and navigating in adversity, navigating in the midst of uncertainty and trying through those challenges to reach success, we want to offer a few steps that you might consider coming back and reading about three steps that we have presented for your perusal. Step one, start with a clear vision for change. Step two, articulate the rationale behind your idea. And then step three, implement change incrementally. You know, it is commonly said that no one likes change, but a wet baby. And we certainly understand that there's truth in that. But we also understand that in the midst of change, there's growth, there's development, there's new insight, new revelation, new beginnings, new opportunities to excel in excellence. If we're willing to understand that a failure of any sort is not a stopping point, it's not the end, it's the turning point for new opportunities to take the stumbling blocks and make them building blocks and step up to higher heights and deeper depths. And so I'm hoping that you will go back and you would read today's devotion and understand it's been written just for you. God bless you. Thank you so much for coming and spending this time with us.
