Christ himself, as the Son of Man, had to learn obedience through suffering. And this term, suffering, means enduring a challenge process that transforms the sufferer. So the human side of Christ was made perfect through this process. We can choose to become better by trusting the Master who is chipping away, knowing that the process will bring us to perfection. Or we can choose to become bitter at every stroke and risk being put aside and forgotten. The choice is yours and mine.
